Looking through the glass Published March 19, 2015 By Airman 1st Class Deana Heitzman 31st Fighter Wing Public Affairs AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- The 31st Aerospace Medicine Squadron optometry office sees more than 80 patients a week and provides services such as contact lens appointments, refractive surgery evaluations, repair on military issued frames, ballistic eye wear and gas mask inserts. Service members are required to have an annual exam to check visual acuity, focusing, keratometry and refraction.
