AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy --
U.S. Air Force Capt. Derrick Jones, 31st Mission Support Group chief of education and training, dons a M50 Joint Service General Purpose Field Mask during a gasmask fit test, Feb. 3, 2015, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The M50 gas mask is designed to protect against chemical, biological and radiological threats. Members are required to have an up-to-date gasmask fit test certificate for deployments. Once a fit test certificate is conducted, it does not expire unless an Airman loses or gains 10 percent of their body weight or goes through reconstructive facial surgery.
