Aviano firefighters complete advanced rescue training

AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Twelve Aviano firefighters recently underwent a three-week Rescue Technician Certification course here, Jan. 13-31. The U.S. Air Forces in Europe's Fire Academy sent two instructors from the 435th Construction and Training Squadron to train the selected firefighters in advanced rescue procedures, such as high-angle rescues and closed-spaced rescues. The firefighters will continue on as Aviano rescue team members.
