AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Team Aviano participated in the annual Defense Logistics Agency spring clean event, April 19-22, 2016, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. DLA accepts unneeded office furniture, refrigerators, cables, computer parts, scrap metal and appliances for disposition. Squadrons received a schedule to stop by Bldg. 1459 and dispose of their government-owned equipment. The items are either distributed to other Department of Defense agencies or salvaged, saving the Air Force and DOD money.
