Airmen from the 31st Maintenance Squadron non-destructive inspection flight are responsible for conducting preventative maintenance inspections on equipment and aircraft assigned to the 31st Fighter Wing. These Airmen detect flaws such as cracks, voids, chips and heat damage with a wide variety of testing equipment. Once a defect is authenticated, the team returns the part to the appropriate agency for repair.
