AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- The U.S. Army 173rd Airborne Brigade and German Army 1st Airborne Brigade paratroopers participated in a joint airborne operation near Aviano Air Base, Aug. 25, 2016. The paratroopers spent a week learning each other’s tactics and procedures to enhance joint capabilities. The paratroopers trained on airfield clearance after jumping out of a C-130 Hercules from the 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany after departing from Aviano.
