AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Members of Team Aviano gathered for an earthquake disaster preparation class with the American Red Cross at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Sept. 9, 2016. The class highlighted awareness for emergency situations and preparation.

The American Red Cross is spreading the word for disaster preparation month. They are offering a variety of training classes to keep Team Aviano safe and informed. From checklists to kits, the classes focus on creating plans and proactive factors.

Their moto for this month is “Get a kit. Make a plan. Be informed”.
