AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Team Aviano members participated in the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge competition at Aviano Air Base, Italy on Sept. 19-22, 2016. They competed in several basic fitness tests and one marksmanship test. The purpose of the badge is to recognize military members who are physically fit. Out of the 84 competitors, 65 were awarded a badge. Among them, 11 earned gold, 44 silver, and 10 earned bronze badges.
