AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Technical Sergeant Joshua Owens, an Airman assigned to the 31st Logistical Readiness Squadron here, died following a single motorcycle accident in Cordignano on June 4th.
“Our whole team feels the impact of losing Josh,” said Lt Col Katie Hemken, 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander. “Even though he’d only arrived a few months ago, he was an immediate positive influence and was already a huge part of the LRS family. It hurts to lose one of our own. Right now, we’re focused on supporting Josh’s family, friends and coworkers through this difficult time.”
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by Italian authorities.
