AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- An Airman assigned to the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on Jan. 5, at approximately 6:50 AM in Roveredo in Piano, Italy.
“We are devastated by the loss of one of our Airmen…a member of our 31st Fighter Wing family. We extend our heartfelt sympathies, condolences and support to the Airman’s family, friends and co-workers,” said Brig. Gen. Tad Clark, 31st FW commander. “The 31st Fighter Wing’s priority is to provide support to the entire family and team as we navigate this tragedy.”
The cause of death is currently under investigation.
The Airman’s name will not be released until 24 hours after the next-of-kin notification.
