AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- An active-duty Airman assigned to the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron was pronounced dead in his on-base dormitory Sunday, June 15, around 11:30 p.m.
The Airman has been identified as Airman 1st Class Kaleb Stanley, 20, of Great Falls, Mont. Stanley served as an electrical systems apprentice with the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron at Aviano AB.
“The entire 31st Fighter Wing team continues to mourn the loss of Airman 1st Class Stanley,” said Brig. Gen. Tad Clark, 31st FW commander. “Our focus right now is to support the member’s family, co-workers and all of those affected by this tragic loss.”
Details surrounding the death are under investigation.
