AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Eight teams of Airmen representing squadrons from the 31st Fighter Wing participated in the first Combat Warrior Challenge at Aviano Air Base, Italy, March 14-17, 2017. Two teams at a time competed head-to-head in a series of obstacles to test physical strength and mental toughness until two teams were left. Over the four days, and as teams were eliminated, more obstacles were added. The 31st Communications Squadron team was the winner of the competition.
