AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- The 31st Security Forces Squadron held a military working dog retirement ceremony. Soma, Treesje and Roki received a retirement certificate and all dogs were adopted. Department of Defense MWD's are trained at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Trained MWD's are used in patrol, drug and explosive detection and other specialized missions.
