This week’s Wyvern Warrior of the Week is U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Ethan Gameren, 31st Comptroller Squadron financial operations flight commander. This Brisbane, Australia, native has been part of team Aviano for approximately 17 months.

“I am always trying to help others and do my best to relieve the financial burdens of all Airman,” said Gameren.

This father of four hopes to leave a legacy within his career and stay true to who he is. He says his inspirations are his mother, father, brothers and grandparents.

“I joined to push myself and leave a military legacy,” said Gameren. “There hasn’t been anyone in my family to serve in the United States military.”

Gameren has been in the U.S. Air Force for approximately six years and described an unforgettable moment he experienced before transitioning from an enlisted member to an officer.

“One defining moment for me was the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah, Georgia, in 2019 during a parade for the Honor Guard,” said Gameren. “As I am standing at ceremonial at ease, the concluding speaker says ‘Thank you to the Honor Guard for blessing us with your attendance. Lastly, Senior Airman Ethan Gameren, congratulations on your selection into Officer Training School.”

Thank you for all of your hard work for Wyvern Nation, Gameren! We can’t wait to see what you will continue to accomplish.
