June 5, 2021 Aviano Airman dies, cause under investigation An Airman assigned to the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base, Italy, died on June 4th at approximately 9:30 PM.The cause of death is currently under investigation. “As a base and a community we are saddened to hear about this terrible loss ,” said Brig. Gen. Jason E. Bailey, 31st FW commander.
